This article is about diversity because it discusses the refugee crisis. With the world being in the midst of such terrible terrorist control it is the responsibility of the countries that have safety to offer a safe haven to people whose home countries are unfit to do so themselves. This is our refugee crisis. More and more people every day are seeing sanctuary internationally while certain countries grow ever more restless and dangerous. The problem is that many leaders in these countries refuse to help and are not taking people in. This is causing mass political upheaval an anger among many tax paying citizens in the "safe" Countries. Something that many people see as just basic human rights other people have turned into a political discussion. I think this article is important because it explores this important topic as well as shows us what some of these refugees are experiencing. I also think it brings to light modern day colonialism, the power of a super power, and racial tensions. The fact of the matter is no life is more precious than another. No race, no gender, no age, no life etc. We have to be responsible for each other no matter what. It is just the morally right thing to do.
